143 Kilos
3 day performance piece
Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos
143 Kilos was a durational performance piece that took place at the Museum for Memory and Human Rights. During the piece, my father read out excerpts from letters in the Museum’s archive. These words were transcribed by my mother using a typewriter. I then would wrap individual stones with these pages and drop them into two caskets, each made to my parent’s dimensions.
At the end of the performance piece, the caskets were sealed and the objects of the performance were left in position.
