House of Hungary at the 2016 Rio Olympics

Creative Director
Interactive Installations

In 2015, Mobilsofa (a Hungarian design company) won the contract to design and execute the Hungarian Pavilion at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

At the time, I was a Creative Director at the company, and was tasked with leading the design and managing the execution of the interactive installations that would populate half of the Pavilion.
The brief was particularly difficult, in that we had to manage the requirements of the Hungarian government and the technical capabilities of our ground crew in Brazil.

By the end we managed to incorporate a series of installations that were, in 2016, quite novel. These installations relied heavily on projections and touch-screens running custom control systems - most often Unreal engine projects.

The interactive installation portion of the Pavilion won various awards, including one by the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce for Innovation in Design.
